Rock, Paper, Scissors

TODA Principal, Marcos Chavez, led an in-class typographic study with his Typography class at the Art Institute of New York City. News: TODA Featured on NYC Design Scene Map

TODA is featured on a map created by Pentagram that outlines the New York graphic design scene. The map was created by Pentagram partner Luke Hayman as a clever little guide to New York designers. Done up like Massimo Vignelli's iconic NYC subway map, it assigns 'subway stops' to key figures in the city's design network, both past and present, from Sagmeister Inc. to the late ad-industry pioneer Helmut Krone. SAGE Fundraising Campaign

To create a connection between potential donors and the organization, TODA produced a series of dynamic black and white portraits featuring a diverse group of Sage supporters. The photos were designed to work within a large folded sheet that unrolls to navigate through stories from current SAGE donors. The pieces were mailed in a clear envelop and included remit devices.

Liberty Street Live/Work Space

TODA partner Mark Naden designed a 600 sq live work space in lower Manhattan. The space was designed to function as an office and home for a photographer and designer couple. The design sought to maximize a small amount of space that could be used as a fully open loft, or sectioned by moving panels and floor to ceiling curtains. The apartment also features a wide range of custom cabinetry and drawer/shelving systems that allowed the couple to conduct their complex lives while still keeping a simple and elegant atmosphere.
